Edna was our host. She had baked a homemade banana cake. She made coffee and tea in the school. She even brought milk and sugar and napkins and spoons.
We visited the blog-post mentioning the Dolch word list. The teacher selected some words (in bold) and read them as dictation. The students worked in groups of three and made sentences. They were able to "buy" three words. The had three "coins": red, blue and purple.
On YouTube we heard Andrew Bentz recite Dr. Seuss' Green Eggs and Ham. - Homework for lesson 4 on November 8th - Mariann is our host (Jona andTove are backup)
Please, continue to think in simple sentences like this:

Dr. Seuss work Green Eggs and Ham is on the menu today. It is easy to read because it is simple, it only uses these 50 words:
The theme of the story is that we should be open minded or we will miss opportunities.
And Dr. Seuss and by a great storyteller. One of Dr. Seuss's fan is Philip Nel. We will look at his post as well.
But let us first of all visit YouTube.

2nd lesson recap, autumn break notification, 3rd lesson homework
This post has three points:
- 2nd lesson recap.
- 3rd lesson homework.
- autumn break notification: next lesson is on October 25th.
We had our second lesson Thursday 11th October 2012.
The students worked in pairs or small groups. They started out with reading the text titled Greetings on page 7 in the booklet. They did also practice the dialogue by greeting their partner and other students.
Next the students moved on to working on learning the text to the Jazz Chants from One Stop English that is on page 4 in booklet. They took turns reading and writing as a dictation exercise. We also listened to the chant. It is available here.
Our host for the evening did a speech and invited us to help ourselves to coffee, tea, bisquits and homemade waffles.
We then moved on to the Dolch Word List. The words we translated were from the pre-primer and primer, see below.
Afterwards we talked about simple grammar. Simple Present and Simple Past.
Your home work for next class is:
Practice or THINK about making super simple sentences. The simpler, the better. A bit like this...
